Guys and Dolls takes place in the heart of New York City with a story full of vivid characters. Start with Nathan Detroit, a chronic gambler who is always trying to find a spot for his floating craps game. This means, unfortunately, he is constantly ignoring his fiance of 14 years, Miss Adelaide. Adelaide is a nightclub performer who is chronically sick because she is afraid she'll never get married. Enter Sky Masterson, a slick high roller, with the means to help Nathan with financial problems. The two make a bet regarding the "mission doll," Sarah Brown. Eventually as Sky tries to woo Sarah, he actually start falling for her. Sarah, out to save the sinning gamblers, finds she is falling for Sky too. All come together in this classic musical about love and gambling.
