WORKSHOP #1 – Auditioning for Musical Theatre
TWO 3-Hour sessions
Dates: Saturday, September 10 & Sunday, September 11
Time: 11 am to 2 pm
Auditions are all about presentation, polish and pizzazz! This two day workshop will develop the participants’ audition skills as well as give them tools they need to get the roles they want! The first day of the workshop will focus on the musical portion of the audition. Participants are required to bring in two 32-bar cuts of audition songs. They will have an opportunity to be coached through at least one of their songs. The second day of the workshop will focus on the acting portion of an audition. Participants will be given techniques to give the best audition they can.

WORKSHOP #2 – Character Development
TWO 3-Hour sessions
Dates: Saturday, September 17 & Sunday, September 18
Time: 11 am to 2 pm
Acting is all about creating vivid, memorable characters. In this two day workshop, participants will be given a chance to work on a character from a play of their choosing. Participants are required to bring in either a monologue or a scene with a scene partner for the class. The first day will focus on exercises and techniques that will help the participants better understand and interpret their characters of choice. On the second day, the participants will apply these techniques to the monologues and scenes they have chosen. They will be coached and guided through their work in a supportive and encouraging way.
