At the year-end dinner meeting on June 4, 2008, the Board of Directors of the Sheboygan Theatre Company welcomed new Board Members, thanked outgoing directors and elected officers for next season.  Held at the Sheboygan Yacht Club, the annual event began with the Company's final business meeting of the season.  A most important agenda item was the election of officers, through which changes were made to the Executive Committee. Tom Heinrich was elected President and will serve with Linda Brauer, re-elected as First Vice President. Former Secretary Diane Ellis is the new Second Vice President, while Jackie Blindauer and Daniel Hill were elected as Secretary and Treasurer respectively.

Following the banquet, to which spouses or guests of the Board Members were invited, along with Life Members and Season and Production Sponsors, out-going President Pat Scholz acted as Master of Ceremonies for the formal program.  Sponsors were recognized and thanked, as were other financial contributors to the organization.  While introducing fellow directors, Scholz gave special recognition to Heinrich and Andres Araujo, who were recently re-elected to second, three-year terms.  Scholz then officially thanked two retiring Board Members and awarded them plaques of appreciation. Bob Margrett recently completed two consecutive three-year terms, while John Wartke served for one term.

Subsequently Scholz officially welcomed three new Directors recently elected to the Board: Erin Belongie, an English teacher at Sheboygan North High School; Mariya Grabow, a Language Arts and Drama teacher at Sheboygan South High School; and Ray Santana, a Financial Adviser with MetLife Financial Services.  All have been elected to three-year terms.

As his first official business Heinrich thanked Scholz and presented her with two plaques, one for her work on the Board of Directors for two consecutive three-year terms and the other for her service as President for the past four years.

The dinner concluded with Director of Theatre Ralph Maffongelli’s annual report.  While summarizing the accomplishments of the organization during the past season, Maffongelli made note of the recipients of the two scholarships presented annually to local high school seniors who intend to pursue studies in theatre arts. Selected this year were Plymouth High School student Clifford Newton, who plans to attend Beloit College, and Jacob Horstmier from Random Lake High School, who will be enrolled in the UW-Stevens Point Acting Program.
